I came to this restaurant when I traveled to the hot springs national park. There was only one waitress when I came to this restaurant, so the server was really slow, but the server was good! Foods are good! But the light was too dark.

Look, it's sushi in Arkansas... I'm not real big on the teppanyaki service, or hibachi as some style it, so I rarely sit at the table. I do, however head straight to the sushi bar to see Veht and Chan. These two guys know their business even though they are in central Arkansas and can't get the best product. Even though I'm not big into rolls, I recommend the Pinnacle Mountain roll. Otherwise, introduce yourself to them, ask what's good and let them do the rest!

Waiter was overly talkative and we didn't get our sushi until the end. He also couldn't make change from a 100 with out the help of his manager. Food order was short and they had to cook extra at the end. Steak was requested rare and it was medium well.

So for the area, this is probably about as good as it gets. However, that's not saying much. We've been to so many hibachi grills in other locations that are leaps and bounds better... But for Hot Springs, this is probably one of their gems. They do have traditional seating in an area, where you sit on pillows on the floor, in addition to regular tables and hibachi tables. We thought that was a nice choice. The waitstaff and hibachi chef that we had seemed to be examples of the drug problems in the area. Although this was evident at almost all of the restaurants we went to here... The food was ok, nothing special and definitely way too salty. Not worth the price, even though it was significantly cheaper than an average hibachi in a bigger city. The performance by the hibachi chef was lackluster and methodical.

Good hibachi! I had the shrimp & my husband had the steak & filet. It was cooked well & tasted great. Service was great!

What a treat to find such delicious sushi in Arkansas! I have been to Osaka several times now, twice for the hibachi grill and the rest of my visits for their sushi. The staff has always been extremely welcoming and friendly. I have even sat at the bar and visited with the owner while waiting on a bento box to-go order. The portion sizes are more than enough, especially for the price. I will continue to be a constant patron and highly recommend it to others.

We love hibachi so our family went to Osaka. We were very impress with the atmosphere and the chef gave us a great show and food. He was also super funny and professional. We recommend Osaka to any family that love hibachi and a great show and food.

*Tried* to eat here with the family on vacation. They were obviously very short staffed, so we tried to be patient to wait for the hibatchi...even though there were tons of empty tables. No one was working the bar, so we couldn't even get a drink. Finally, we flashed someone down just to get a glass of water, and her response was she was so swamped that she would "try". Finally, we were seated at a hibatchi table. It reeked of gas and made us a bit uncomfortable, as we go to hibatchi grills often and don't normally snell had like that. It took FOREVER to get our beverages. When I saw the guy that took our drink order at another table, that was the breaking point for us. Two starving kids, who waited so long just to get a drink and were over it, so we have up and walked out. Super disappointing.

Sushi was amazing. We had the red dragon roll and the new Hawaiian roll. Quick and friendly service. Plus it was fun to watch the sushi be made.

Of all the hibachi restaurants here and in Little Rock, Osaka's in my favorite. The chef named "Honda" is awesome, perfect personality for this job, which makes the experience even better for the whole family!

After reading the reviews we decided to check out this place for lunch. We have eaten a lot of sushi in our day and I have to say this is one of the best places we have tried. The ambiance is great. They offer sushi bar, traditional Japanese seating (low tables) and Benihana type cooking. The lunch specials were a great deal. It came with soup, salad, and assorted sushi. We will definitely be back for more and highly recommend

I love Osaka! The drinks are strong, the food is delicious and the ginger dressing...WOO-HOO! I love the hibachi steak and scallops. The grilled veggies are good and the rice is tasty. It's a little expensive but to my tummy it's worth it every so often.

About 3 years ago my wife and I and other family had dinner at Osaka and had a great time as the service was great and the cook was entertaining. This past weekend the wife and I had to be in town again for family business and tried it again with great disappointment. It was a Thursday night and there seemed to be a shortage of wait staff as it took a very long time to get service. I got up at one time to go to the bar to get us drinks and nobody was there. When our waitress finally arrived at our table (grill) after about 15 min. we ordered drinks but could not order dinner as no one else was at our grill. Finally, three other persons were seated and we were allowed to order. The cook was not very good at all and was not adept at the usual tricks and could hardly speak English so we could not understand his lame attempts at humor. We order scollups and steak and lobster and steak, medium rear. The steak was overdone, I would say well done, and the lobster was burned. I will say the fried rice was OK! When we complained, it was not well taken and the waitress was embarrassed and got the manager as it turned out had no authority for an resolution which I had not asked for as I was willing to pay the full dinner price. Seems he had to get the owner on the phone. They finally took one meal off the bill. I told the manager and the waitress I did not this to come back on the waitress. She said the management took 55% of tips!!! So I gave her a tip in cash and told her to put it in her pocket and keep it for herself. This was a terrible dinning experience....don't go there!! I know I won't again.

I absolutely love Osaka's! We have never had to wait, and usually do the Hibachi grill on Fridays or Saturdays. We usually have an Oriental waitress (I don't even know why some people complain about the ethnicity of the waitstaff). The Sake packs a punch and the Miso soup is delicious! I always get Hibachi Chicken, Steak, and Fried Rice and it always soooo very good and always cooked just right! The Hibachi chefs are amazing, whether or not their English is flawless. The bathrooms are always very nice and clean and it has a very nice atmosphere in general. Yes, it's pricey, but you definately get your money's worth!!!!!

We ate here once and it was good. Just your average habachi, but I compare all habachis to Fuji's, in Conway. The only bad thing that happened on our visit was one of ours friends had an allergic reaction after eating the sushi!! We will be back, but he is not allowed to have sushi! lol

I don't think I would ever go back to Osaka. It's way too expensive and it isn't authentic (american waiters and waitresses). From what I've heard from friends, there is always a wait, whether it's packed or not. Go across town to Fuji if you want Japanese.

This place is awesome! The hibachi grill chefs will give you a show while cooking your food, and they have never got our order wrong. I usually get the fillet and shrimp with fried rice from the hibachi. If you go you have to try their special 'Oh My God' sushi! That is exactly what you will be saying. The green tea ice cream is a cool way to end your experience.
